Went for a late lunch, bot expecting such a good experience. To start, the Margarita's are simply delicious. (Yes, addictive) We ordered the chilli con carne, special nachos with fajita steak and chicken quesadilla. All dishes were excellent and good size portions. Owner was convivial, and the place was clean, cool and nicely laid out. Will definitely will be returning.
So I've been in Angeles for the past few days, and haven't ventured very far from my hotel because I've been eating there. Then, after a bad experience in the hotel, I decided to walk on a little further, and I'm really glad I did.
As I approached, The outside doesn't give a lot away of what to expect, a brown wood door opens into a lengthy well lit, airy cool restaurant, with comfortable seating, great textured decor and friendly staff. I was welcomed with a glass of ice water, followed quickly by a complementary Tortilla and salsa basket.
What followed was a great meal. I managed to try several dishes, recommended by the self introduced proprietor, Larry, a friendly guy with a lot of life experience. He was kind enough not only to recommend some dishes to me, but also to share some recipes for smoked meats (don't ask, I'm not sharing!).
My only negative was I couldn't try some of the drinks due to work commitments later in the day, but I'm going to return and will try them soon! Highly recommended.
